Do you want to know what your old & rare books are worth?

Are you interested in a free evaluation of your rare books & manuscripts?

We encourage you to visit our main site:
RareBookBuyer.com

We are primarily interested in purchasing early printed books and manuscripts, generally published before 1800, but with notable exceptions for 19th century rarities and illustrated books. Feel free as well to email us at WeBuyRareBooks@gmail.com.

It is very helpful to include photos of your books.

We will do our best to provide free evaluations of books based upon the American auction records (ABPC- American Book Prices Current). Even rare books tend to have previous auction records and comparable records often are a very good indicator of current value and what you can expect a dealer to pay for your rare books.

We also encourage you to do you own price research with available online tools:

1) There are some retail prices for rare books online that can be quickly looked up at Addall.com -- This site is a meta-search engine of many rare book sites, and while the prices are retail, it often can serve as a reasonable rare book price guide.

2) One can also assess the rarity of a book by the number of copies there are in institutions and libraries. An excellent site that records many institutional holdings of rare books (though not all) is Worldcat.org. A book is usually more valuable if there are few institutional copies.

We understand that there are many other factors that go into pricing and appraising a rare book such as condition, provenance, and special attributes (i.e. author's signatures, limitations, special bindings), not to mention current demand.

If you would like a professional free evaluation (not a legal appraisal), feel free to visit our site RareBookBuyer.com and submit your book(s).
